October 30, 2008

Hello Friends,

The Mock Orange off-season road training rides will officially begin this Saturday, November 1. The first ride of the season will leave the shop at 2:00 pm and will head out to Davidson County for a two and a half to three hour round trip. Depending on attendance there will be both an “A” group and a “B” group. The former will do a 18-20 mph pace and the latter will do about a 16-18 mph pace. The “B” group route will also be shorter in distance. Cue sheets will be available on Saturday as well. Refreshments will be served after the shop closes at 5 pm in celebration of this first road ride of the season!

Here is some exciting news for mountain bikers: the Brushy Mountain Cyclists Club is hosting a Winter Super D Series at Kerr Scot Park is Wilkesboro. The race series begins on Saturday, November 8 and finishes on December 13th. Visit the Brushy Mountain Cyclists Club’s website for all the details.

And of course, the North Carolina Cyclocross Series heads to Lenoir, NC this Sunday.
