Pinarello Prince

August 8, 2008

Hello Friends,

We hope you all are doing great!

Not too long ago MOBer extraordinaire Tommy Wofford had the chance to test the Pinarello Prince on some of his normal training routes. Here is what he had to say about the bike:

Recently, I had the opportunity to ride a great bike- The Pinarello Prince. Jay and Charles were kind enough to allow me to spend some time on a world class machine. If anyone is considering a top-of-the-line bike, this one deserves serious consideration.

Pros: The Prince is the top of the line Pinarello. It is truly the top shelf of the “best of the best” in the cycle world. To put this bike into perspective, if this bike would have come to life as a car, it would have been a Porsche 911 Turbo!!! The bike looks fast, feels fast and is fast. The finish on this bike is a work of art. Lots of attention to detail. Beyond great looks, the bike is stiff yet very smooth. The Prince responds immediately does an excellent job of absorbing pavement imperfections. It also inspires confidence on high speed descends. This is a great bike!

Cons: The only complaint that I had about this bike is….. that it doesn’t live at my house!

Thanks for the review Tommy! We also think this bike is top notch.

We should remind you all that this week’s MOB Monday Night Advanced MTB Ride will be at Salem Lake. The ride will meet at the shop at 6 pm and head over to the Lake by bike. Come on out if you can make it!

Also, the new weekly Tanglewood Beginner’s MTB ride is moving to Monday night at 6 pm. This casual ride, led by Erika von Isenburg, meets at the Welcome Center, which is the first little house on your left as you enter the park. This is a fun couple of laps of the singletrack out there at Tanglewood. So come on out for a very casual ride this Monday at 6!

The MOB Saturday Morning MTB ride leaves the shop at 9:30 am. This is a great way to get your weekend started on the right foot. The ride leaves the shop, heads over to Salem Lake, hits the singletrack, and then comes home. The round trip usually takes about three hours. We’ll see you tomorrow for this one!

Thanks and we’ll see you soon!
