Tommasini Tecno

My commuter bike for yesterday was this Tommasini Tecno. This bike looks like a bike form 30 years ago that has been restored, but it is only two years old. The Tommasini is built with Campagnolo Chorus 11 speed Components and 32 spoke wheels built with Record hubs. There is something about the ride of a steel framed bike that I can only describe as quit. It handled well and was plenty fast!

Riding this bike reminded me of many rides I went on in the past. I used to enjoy seeing all the shiny steel bikes made by different frame builders. There were many different brands of frames on group rides. Each brand had a unique history. The paint schemes on those bikes were amazing! In those day you would select your frame and components all the way down to the spokes in your custom built wheels. (that’s the way this bike was built)
